Itinerary

Day 1
Today you arrive in Edinburgh to begin exploring Scotland's first city. Edinburgh is steeped in history and has many fascinating spots to discover.

Day 2 - Edinburgh
No visit to Edinburgh would be complete without ascending to Edinburgh Castle. With its magnificent views over the city and a rich collection of Scottish treasures including the “Honours of Scotland” once used by Scottish monarchs. Be sure to stop by St. Margaret's chapel, the oldest structure in the castle and all of Edinburgh.

Day 3 - Edinburgh
Today, you board the train and travel across the heart of Scotland to its picturesque West. The Highlands and Scottish countryside are a magnificent array of shady glens, rugged mountain peaks and a coastline strewn with quaint fishing villages. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in romantic Glencoe.

Day 4 - Fort William
Embark on a scenic train journey described by some as the world's most beautiful. The Jacobite winds its way through breath-taking Scottish scenery. You'll pass lochs and mountains, across the impressive Glenfinnan Viaduct, made famous by the Harry Potter films, and on until reaching Mallaig. Explore this charming coastal community before returning to Fort William.

Day 5
Transfer from your hotel to the train station this morning to meet the Caledonian Sleeper. You will rest in comfort onboard this overnight train service as you travel across Scotland and overnight towards London.

Day 6
Arrive this morning by train to London where your scenic train journey ends.
