Provincetown, Cape Cod. New England

We visited Provincetown for the first time on our honeymoon back in 2016. We had been so busy planning our wedding day we left all, and I mean all, the details for our honeymoon to our amazing travel agent at the time. They planned us an amazing 2,500 mile road trip around New England, and Provincetown was one of our stops. I wish we could have stayed for longer, it was just perfect. White beaches, fresh shellfish and a great casual gay vibe. You can see how Provincetown has made its name as the destination for the LGBTQ+ community. I highly recommend staying at the Salt House Inn and eating clam chowder along Commercial Street. I can’t wait to go back soon.

San Francisco, California

When we made a trip to San Francisco in June 2019, it was clear this amazing hilly metropolis has the early LGBTQ+ movement in its blood. You can't go far without seeing the pride flag. We headed over to the Castro District, home of Harvey Milk's camera shop where the pride movement started. San Francisco promotes Milk's heroism with numerous plaques and a bust in city hall; the very building where he held office and sadly where he was shot dead. San Francisco has it all…food, culture and lots of steep streets to explore. You can’t help but fall in love with it when you’re there. We can’t wait to go back, and to share this amazing city with our Huben Travel guests.
